I have tried switching HDMI cables, also, to no avail. I should note that when it is working, it seems to be shoddy, with audio blips and visual distortion sometimes. I know it has succeeded because I see the displays icon in the toolbar and I am able to choose display mirroring, etc. Belkins website says its '1. I plug it into the computer and the screen turns blue as if it has detected the TV, yet when it comes back to normal, nothing happens either on the TV or the Macbook. I recently purchased a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI (with audio) adapter from Monoprice for my mid-2010 Macbook Pro and I am having issues.īasically everything was working fine a month or two ago but just recently I have been having problems getting my Macbook to detect the HD TV.
